The Cambridge Report, Vol. 1

So... big things happening in my world these days. Forces are now in motion which cannot be stopped.

That's right, I'm going to Cambridge University for an interview. Yes, me, a humble midwestern student from the good ol' U. S. of A headed off to a faraway land on a whirlwind adventure tour of Europe... and all that just for the interview. One can only imagine what lies ahead should they take me.

I remain, as ever, cautiously optimistic. These next few days will be among the most important of my life thus far - if ever an opportunity arose to shape the state of things to come, this is it.

Wish me luck, but pray it is not needed.

Kind regards,

Medieval 2 Total War

It's an excellent feeling - the sense that the whole world is resting on your shoulders, that you alone are directing and shaping reality. Call it playing God if you will. I think of it as self-actualization. I'm reshaping my reality into the reality I want it to be.

According to highly-qualified web test this is consistent with my personality type (iNTj "Rational Mastermind") anyway. And Teh Internets never lie.

So... just thought I would do a little unsponsored advertisement. Medieval 2: Total War. It is only the sequel to the best game of all time, Rome: Total War. And from the looks of things, they kept all the great stuff from Rome and made it better - better graphics (now it looks mind-blowingly amazing, as compared to just spectacular graphics before - screenshots below), better sound, better gameplay, more animations, more units, a larger campaign, a longer campaign, smarter artificial intelligence, the whole deal. If it lives up to even half the hype surrounding it, it will be amazing.

Now for some screenshots.

(Some French Scots Guard opening fire)

(Byzantine Cataphracts - wouldn't want to mess with them)

(English Knights)

It's a lot of work to upload these pictures so I'm going to stop. You can find literally hundreds of them at IGN.com.

Go there. See pictures. Buy game.

Olsen Olsen

What am I doing with my life?

Perhaps more importantly, why?
And how?

And, if we're asking these sorts of questions, when is probably a good one too.

Or am I even?

Always have to consider the contrapositives...

Damn. I don't really like this right now. But I'm not quite sure what it is I don't like. I think I'll make a big list, a list of things to change. And then another list of things to keep the same. And then from that, a plan of action. Yes.

I think I know what I'll be doing this weekend, yes...
